Twitter contemplating Facebook-like ' pages '-TechRadar UK

Twitter could see Add Facebook-style tag pages in a tender in a way to make money from the popular pro-brevity social network site.

Despite over 200 million users and a five-year pedigree, Twitter still struggles to actually bring any cash.

Move to label pages would give advertisers an incentive to extradite moolah in return for a dedicated room for the pushing their own messages and products, as well as they do on Facebook.

Searchable

In the meantime, Twitter users can now enjoy a better recommendations experience; the network has made it easier to find Twitter accounts that are based on your interests.

Previous search results were returned based on your search query was included in a Twitter user name – so if you were looking for ' tech ', you would generally get Twitter accounts that have the word ' tech ' in the name.

@ TechRadar would, of course, be a place among them, but would be missed by other tech-focused sites, whose names are a little more vague.

It is not clear exactly how the new algorithm works-perhaps by examining recent tweets or by looking at a chart of bio-but it is nice to see Twitter entry into service of search features, which has always been a little iffy a bit of effort.
